Creating New Fabric

Below is the descriptor of the class and some photos of my work. In the class on the first day you will create the background striped fabric and on the second day create the motifs - these are special unique techniques that I have developed for the class.

Creating New Fabric

Tutor: Suzanne Gummow

Have you ever wanted to create your very own original fabric? If so this workshop is for you! You will create new fabrics with fusing techniques to use for backgrounds and/or motifs. This is a creative approach that will enhance your art quilts.

Each person will end up with a small individual piece of work. Your work will be approximately A3 size. Stitching may happen (depending on time) and discussion will occur about how to add stitch and use your new fabrics in your works.
